The Captain- Episode 2 Review

The feels, the motherfucking feels! Not much more to say about this episode than that.

This episode dives into the ‘96 season and just how special and instrumental it would be to the dynasty of the ‘90’s. The best moment came when the infamous Jeffrey Maier play was recapped and Derek simply said, it was obvious Tony Tarasco should’ve jumped!

The episode dove into the heartbreak of the ‘97 season and how Derek was beginning to become a fixture in NYC nightlife. We also get our first glimpse into the rivalry between Alex Rodriguez and how a wedge began to form early in their careers.

The episode ends with the historic ‘98 season and Jeter’s first brush with the business side of baseball with his first arbitration hearing with the Yankees.
